Sortapp stores your inventory data locally on your device and syncs it to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Your data never touches third-party servers — it stays within your Apple ecosystem. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, inventory details, or usage statistics. The developer has zero access to your iCloud data.
Your data is protected at two levels:
Additional measures can enhance your protection:
Sortapp does not access or share your inventory data under any circumstances.
Sortapp uses Apple’s in-app purchase system to handle payments for increasing inventory limits. Apple handles all payment processing, and we do not collect or store any payment information. For details about Apple’s privacy practices, refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Sortapp does not share your data with third parties. Your home inventory remains private and accessible only on your devices and in your private iCloud account, unless you choose to share a manual backup file with others.
If your phone is lost or damaged, your inventory is preserved in your private iCloud account. Sign in with the same Apple ID on a new device and your data will sync automatically. You can also restore from a manual backup file if you created one. The developer does not have access to your iCloud data and cannot assist with recovery — your data is tied to your Apple ID.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. Any updates will be reflected in the app, and the "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly.
